She was fondly known as Mai Mati. She was positively living with HIV. She was a committed treatment counsellor and care-giver. A heroine to all of us at Rozaria Memorial Trust. She chair the Ward 17 support group. A widow and a mother of seven (7). Her work will always inspire us all. Rest in Peace, Mai Mati. You gave us all the courage to do this work.
This is a brief analysis of a baseline survey on Children ART Literacy and pediatric treatment carried out in ward 8 and 17 of Murewa district, Zimbabwe. The survey was undertaken in June, 2010. Participants in the survey were drawn from a sample of 8 Support Groups, and including children living with HIV and AIDS, primary and secondary care-givers. The survey was a partnership with SAFAIDS and AJWS and AVERT.
